Q: “Can we request special songs?”

A: Yes! We perform requested songs for all of the first dances/parent dances and songs for special reception features (e.g. introductions, anniversary dance, cake cutting, bouquet, garter). The rest of our base set list is compiled from objective criteria using continuously collected data showing which songs will best inspire your guests to interact, dance, and sing while trying to avoid songs that can come off as too cliche or cheesy. From there we rigorously revise the list based on what we observe to be most effective at our events. Special software is also used to time out every selection to the second to correspond with the wedding reception schedule and ensure we get all of our best material in at the right times. Additionally, couples often review our commonly played music list and give us a list of genre and specific song “please play” and “please do not play” lists for additional customization.

Q: “How much do your services cost?”

A: Our current event fee can be found on the “Booking” section of this website.

Q: “Do we need to get a stage?”

A: While we do not have a stage. A stage is optional and best acquired through the rental company that provides the tables, chairs, etc. Whether it is preferable for the event depends on the venue layout and other details of the reception. We are happy to discuss our opinions and experience on this issue as there is a good chance we have performed at your venue or one similar before.

Q: “Do you provide MC services?”

A: Yes! Please provide a list of names to announce and other specifically worded announcements as you would like them and we can take care of the rest as appropriate. We can also DJ audio tracks as requested and provide microphone use for toasts, speeches, and other announcements.

Q: “Do you perform cocktail hour and/or dinner music?”

A: Yes! We have a great selection of lighter fare including instrumental jazz, vocal jazz, pop ballads, acoustic, beach, yacht rock, motown, and stripped down new hits for these times and are included in the event fee.

Q: “Do you perform as a smaller band for a lesser fee”

A: No, We are not currently performing as a smaller group.

Q: “Do you have a maximum timeframe that you play for?”

A: No, we will work with your schedule to make sure you have all the music you need from a single setup location in the most effective manner while allowing for reasonable/sufficient breaks as optimum performance energy requires. We do not arbitrary cut off time.

Q: “What happens during breaks?”

A: We try to limit and schedule breaks during times that other programming such as speeches, toasts, line dances, and other announcements would be appropriate. The performers also need a break to eat, unless it can ideally be scheduled before guests enter the reception/performance area. During these times, we curate DJ playlists and have our microphones and sound equipment available for use.

Q: “Will there be any extra fees for travel, lodging, etc?”

A: All fees will be included in the original quote. There will be no hidden or extra fees aside from the deposit and balance payment.

Q: “Do you perform ceremony music?”

A: We do not currently offer ceremony music as we need to spend the production time leading up to the reception preparing the stage and musicians properly at that location. Referrals can be given to arrange separately with our musicians directly or outside of our organization to contract for additional services.
